How can I see my credit card debt and net worth with one question?
Last updated: November 1, 2026
In short: In Wiozen Ledger, type or say “how much do I owe on my cards?” to the assistant. The answer lists each card's debt on its own line, then your total card debt, the money in your accounts and what is left after card debt. If you have recorded items, money owed to you or debts, your net worth is added too. The AI model does not add these numbers up: it only recognises the question, and the app writes the answer from your ledger's balances using the same calculation as the dashboard.
An example answer
With two credit cards, a bank account, some cash and money you lent a friend, the answer looks like this:
- Your credit card debt:
- Blue card: $1,243.00
- Work card: $315.00
- Total card debt: $1,558.00
- Money in your accounts: $4,120.00
- Left after card debt: $2,562.00
- Net worth with items, money owed to you and debts: $3,162.00
Which questions does it understand?
Any sentence asking about card debt, total debt or what is left after debt brings this answer: “How much do I owe on my cards?”, “What's my total debt?”, “What's left after my debts?”, “What's my net worth?”. You can ask by voice too. Each question uses one assistant message.
Where do the numbers come from?
A card's debt is the negative balance of that card account. Because an installment purchase comes off the card in full on the day you buy, this figure includes installments whose month hasn't come yet; it is the card's total debt. What you have to pay the bank this month is usually smaller, and the Closed statement section on the card's page shows it. The card statement guide explains the difference.
Money in your accounts is the balance of every account other than cards. If you overpaid a card, that positive balance counts here too. What is left after card debt matches the Accounts total on the dashboard.
The net worth line appears only when it differs: it adds the estimated value you gave the items you still own, money owed to you and what you owe to people. The net worth guide walks through the calculation.
Every amount is converted to your main currency at today's rate. For a card in euros, the debt is shown in euros first, with the main-currency value in brackets. If a currency has no rate, that amount is left out of the totals and the answer ends by saying which currency had no rate.
Why doesn't the model do the maths?
Language models can get sums wrong, and a wrong debt figure is worse than no answer. So when you ask about card debt in Wiozen Ledger, the model does one thing: it says this is a debt question. The app builds the answer with the same code that calculates cards and net worth on the dashboard. No number written by the model ever reaches that answer.
What this answer can't tell you
- It doesn't know your bank's real figure. The app doesn't connect to your bank, so the answer comes only from the entries you made; if you forgot an expense, the number looks lower than your statement.
- It doesn't calculate the minimum payment, interest or late fees.
- You can't pay the card from the assistant. The Pay card balance button on the card's page records a transfer from your bank account to the card.
What you need
The card needs to be an account of type Credit card in Wiozen Ledger. With no card account, the assistant replies that you have no credit cards recorded. If you have items and people in your ledger, the net worth line comes too.
Pro includes credit card accounts, items and people. Every new account gets 14 days of Pro without a card; after that Pro is $12.99 a year or $1.99 a month in Türkiye and $39.99 a year or $6.99 a month elsewhere. The free plan has 1 account and 30 records a month. Details are on the pricing page.
The assistant itself is on both plans: 10 messages a day on the free plan, 100 on Pro.
Frequently asked questions
- Why is the card debt the assistant gives different from my statement?
- The assistant gives the card's total debt, including spending after the statement date and installments whose month hasn't come yet. The amount due on your statement is in the Closed statement section on the card's page.
- Can the model add up my debt wrong?
- No. The app calculates every number in the debt answer from your ledger. The model only recognises that the question is about debt.
- How is the debt on a card in another currency shown?
- In the card's own currency first, with its value in your main currency at today's rate in brackets. The totals use the main-currency value.
- Can I ask about card debt on the free plan?
- The assistant is on the free plan, but credit card accounts are a Pro feature. Every new account gets 14 days of Pro, so you can add a card and ask during the trial.
